Application Procedure

The School of Law employs students in many departments. All jobs held by students are part-time / hourly / temporary / non-benefitted positions. There are often employment opportunities for students throughout the year and applications are accepted on a rolling basis. The greatest numbers of job openings are available during the fall semester. For the best opportunity to secure a job on the School of Law campus, students are encouraged to apply for employment during the summer and month of September.

Application Process
  1. Provide resume as Word.doc or pdf to: Lisa.Ouellette@law.uconn.edu
  2. Apply on-line through the UConn JobX website.
  3. Applicant resumes are distributed to departments and faculty members who are seeking student employees. Interviews are arranged by hiring departments and faculty members.
Employment Consideration

UConn Law students with a federal Work Study Award are first considered for on-campus employment. UConn students who do not have a federal Work Study Award are considered only if funding is available within a hiring department, see Student Labor. Finally, Non–Uconn students may be considered only when an on-campus job has been advertised for two weeks and upon the determination that no qualified UConn student is available to fill the job vacancy.

Deadlines

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. The Work Study deadline to secure a job or preserve an award for future employment is October 1st.
