Description:

This symposium will offer participants an opportunity for discussion of Connecticut’s recent medicinal marijuana legislation. The symposium seeks to shed light and provide an indepth perspective into the goals and meticulous thought process surrounding the drafting of the new legislation and regulations. Speakers will highlight and focus on the practicality and feasibility of implementing this new regime in Connecticut.

Panelists include a wide range of professionals from attorneys to lawmakers to physicians. The event will culminate with a keynote presentation by Mark A.R. Kleiman, professor of public policy at UCLA, who will comment on the salient issues surrounding the policies allowing for medical marijuana use and the importance of these issues beyond Connecticut.
