According to the Blog of LegalTimes, applications for federal judicial clerkships have risen 42% over last year. Dan Filler at the Faculty Lounge speculates that this is the result of "a surge of applications from those many highly qualified students facing deferred offers from top shelf firms." So, if you're looking for a federal judicial clerkship the competition may be a little keener than in the past.
