On November 14, Professor Joseph MacDougald '96 was a panelist on "State and Municipal Case Studies - New England" at the 9th Marine Law Symposium at Roger Williams University School of Law.

Professor MacDougald joined the law school as a visiting scholar and also has held a lecturer’s appointment to Yale School of Forestry & Environmental Studies.  He has a long history of local service as a town zoning commission member and chairman, and a town selectman in his hometown of Madison (CT), where he developed a strong interest in local environmental effects. He is a board member of the Madison Land Conservation Trust and has served as a board member or volunteered for other non-profit institutions. He researches and writes in the fields of environmental, energy, constitutional and land use law and has lectured at several academic and civic institutions.
