McDonald Nominated to Supreme Court

Connecticut Governor Dannel P. Malloy has nominated Andrew McDonald '91 to serve as a justice of the Supreme Court of Connecticut. McDonald will replace Justice Lubbie Harper, Jr., who reached the mandatory age of retirement for state judges last month.

McDonald spent many years as a litigation partner for Pullman & Comley, LLC and currently serves as general counsel to the Office of the Governor.

    On May 15, Professor Darcy Kirk will be the luncheon speaker at the annual meeting of the New Jersey Law Librarians Association where she will update the group on the activities of the Association of American Law Libraries (AALL). Kirk currently serves as president of the AALL.

  • Hate Speech and Genocide
    Professor Richard A. Wilson will deliver three talks in Oslo, Norway on May 14 and 15 including "Gangster's Paradise? Framing Crime in Sub-Saharan Africa" at the Department of Social Anthropology at the University of Oslo.

  • Insurance Regulation
    On May 10, Professor Peter Kochenburger will moderate a discussion with Therese M. Vaughan and Karel Van Hulle at the International Insurance Forum event in Washington, DC.
