Christopher P. DeSantis is a nationally renowned speaker specializing in the design and delivery of Management and Organization Development interventions. This is a unique opportunity to learn how to develop relationships that will enhance your professional career.
Historically, a protégé is chosen by a mentor. Typically, that mentor saw themselves somehow reflected in the protégé. This young version of the mentor received advice and nurturing that helped him or her progress in life and in their career. Looking around, the landscape of the work environment had changed dramatically. The workplace of today is made up of people from diverse backgrounds with different generational identities. What hasn't changed in the need young people have for the help and advice that can only be provided by those senior to them. Questions addressed include: Can assigning a mentor work? How, if at all, do you bridge significant differences? What do mentors and protégés need to know to make the relationship work? How do generational differences affect our perceptions of others?
This program will not be recorded. All law students are invited and encouraged to attend and please RSVP on Symplicity.
