On November 29, Professor Peter Kochenburger will make several presentations regarding flood insurance and policy review at the National Assocation of Insurance Commissioners meeting in Washington, DC.
Professor Kochenburger serves as a funded consumer liaison representative for National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC). The consumer liaison representative program was established in 1992 as a way to promote consumer interaction with the NAIC's members, the insurance industry and interested parties through the individuals' dedication and commitment to serving the public interest.
Professor Kochenburger is the executive director of the Insurance Law Center and director of Graduate Programs where he teaches courses in insurance and consumer law. He consults with insurance companies, government agencies and policyholders on insurance and consumer issues, and has served as an expert witness in a number of insurance-related lawsuits. Before joining the faculty, Professor Kochenburger was counsel at Travelers Property Casualty for 11 years where he managed significant coverage and bad faith litigation, as well as legislative and regulatory affairs across a spectrum of subjects, including workers compensation, OSHA, guaranty funds, tort reform, antitrust, and environmental issues.
