Biography
Eric J. Gouvin is associate dean for academic affairs and professor of law at Western New England College of Law. Gouvin received his B.A. from Cornell University, a J.D. and LL.M. from Boston University, and a M.P.A. from Harvard University. Prior to joining the faculty at Western New England, Gouvin practiced corporate, banking, and commercial law in a large firm. He handled matters for corporate clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to small, closely held concerns. His areas of scholarly interest include the law of corporate groups and banking law. He is a co-author of the treatise, Blumberg on Corporate Groups. In addition, he has published numerous law review articles and several lessons on corporate law for the Center for Computer Assisted Legal Instruction (CALI) library. This will be Gouvin’s twelfth engagement as a visiting professor at the Law School.
