Biography

Richard Luedeman is an Associate Clinical Professor of Law and teaches Legal Practice and Advanced Civil Procedure. He also chairs the faculty’s Clerkships Committee. Prior to joining UConn Law, Professor Luedeman worked at Wiggin and Dana LLP, specializing in complex and appellate litigation, and was a part-time legal writing instructor at Yale Law School. Before entering private practice, he clerked for the Hon. Susan L. Carney of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, the Hon. Michael A. Chagares of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and the Hon. Michael P. Shea of the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut. He received an AB in government from Harvard University and a JD from Yale Law School, where he was a member of the Yale Law Journal editorial board and the New Haven Legal Assistance housing clinic.
