Jay Sicklick has directed the Center’s Medical-Legal Partnership Project since April 2000 where he has overseen the growth of the project from its beginnings as only the second program of its kind in the country - with one office at the Connecticut Children's Medical Center - to presently serving 90% of Hartford’s needy children and families with offices at Connecticut Children's Medical Center, Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center, Charter Oak Health Clinic, and Community Health Services, as well as providing consultation and referral services to patients of the Hospital of Central Connecticut. Prior to this appointment, Professor Sicklick was an assistant clinical professor of law at UConn Law where he taught lawyering skills, and social welfare law. He also was a senior staff attorney at the Legal Aid Society’s Bronx Neighborhood Office for six years, as well as a private practitioner in Boston. He currently teaches courses in legal ethics and professional responsibility and serves as an assistant clinical professor at UConn's School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics.
