Professor Masters is a recognized leader in the national insurance coverage bar for policyholders. In addition to litigating complex lawsuits in state trial courts, federal courts, and appellate courts, she has served as an arbitrator in both the United States and the United Kingdom.

Professor Masters writes and speaks extensively about insurance coverage, litigation, and technology. She is currently a Partner at Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP, and was formerly the managing partner of the Anderson Kill & Olick DC Office. Some of Professor Masters’ publications include two widely read treatises on insurance coverage: Insurance Coverage Litigation, and Liability Insurance in International Arbitration: The Bermuda Form, which won the 2012 Book Prize from the British Insurance Law Association for “outstanding contributions to the literature on insurance,” and is recognized as the seminal work on the issue of Bermuda Form arbitration. She was invited in 2010 to serve as an Adviser to the American Law Institute’s (“ALI”) Restatement of the Law, Liability Insurance, and served in that capacity until the publication of the Restatement in 2019.

At UConn Law Professor Masters teaches a course on Liability Insurance.

Professor Masters received her J.D. from Notre Dame Law School, where she served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Legislation. She received her A.B. in Government and a minor in English from Georgetown University.
