The School of Law conferred 198 degrees — 143 juris doctor (JD), 54 master of laws (LLM), and one doctor of the science of laws (SJD).

Professor Rachel Timm and librarian Tanya Johnson were among the annual slate of promotions approved by the Board of Trustees.

The Provost’s Awards for Excellence in Community Engaged Scholarship (PAECES) recognize scholarly activities that integrate community engagement with research, creative work, and teaching

Timm’s nomination for the student-voted award praised her for creating “a learning environment in which students feel confident and empowered.”

Professor VanCleave’s project aims to gather data on bail and detention practices and impacts that will inform discussions about the current practices and the necessary components of a bail reform package.

Mayor Arulampalam will address UConn Law’s nearly 200 graduates on Sunday, May 18.

UConn School of Law is ranked No. 50 in the U.S. News & World Report Best Law Schools rankings. The part-time Evening Division program is ranked seventh in the country.
