Mark Myers

Mark is an intellectual property attorney licensed in Connecticut and New York. For over a decade, he has served as counsel to small and medium size technology companies providing patent, trademark and copyright prosecution and portfolio development together with contract negotiation, mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganization, and business strategy services.

Prior to his current responsibilities, Dr. Myers served as Vice President, Research & Advisory Services at NERAC, Inc., an intellectual property and business competitive intelligence consultancy firm based in Connecticut. Before joining NERAC, Mark was a business development manager for United Technologies Corporation (UTC), leading product and technology merger and acquisition strategy and due diligence teams. Mark was part of the post-acquisition integration team following UTC’s acquisition of Chubb Ltd. in 2004 and joined the newly formed UTC Fire & Security Business Development and Strategy group to lead technology acquisition strategy efforts. Before joining UTC Fire and Security, Mark was the Technical Fellow for Dynamics and Controls at the United Technologies Research Center (UTRC), a Group Leader in UTRC’s Systems Engineering Department and software engineer at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory.

Dr. Myers holds a doctorate degree from Cornell University in Applied Mathematics with a minor in Theoretical and Applied Mechanics, emphasizing dynamics and control. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from the University of California.
