Biography
Mary Beattie joined the UConn School of Law faculty in 2018 after five years as an academic success counselor on the law school’s staff. In that role, she worked with students to improve their exam preparation and exam writing skills and with students seeking to revise papers for upper level classes. She also served as an adjunct professor at UConn School of Law, teaching Legal Practice, Legal Profession and courses in advanced legal writing. Before coming to UConn, she practiced law and served as an assistant professor of legal skills at Quinnipiac School of Law. She also works as an assigned counsel in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Public Defender, representing indigent clients in their appeals.
Professor Beattie holds a BA from Providence College and a JD from the University Bridgeport, now Quinnipiac School of Law.
