For nearly 20 years, Umar Moghul has provided legal advised on a variety corporate and finance transactions. Much of his work has been on behalf of ethical and responsible sponsors, investors, and business owners seeking to create positive impact.
Moghul’s work includes structuring a variety of funds and investment vehicles, private equity and venture capital transactions, and a broad array of real estate initiatives, joint ventures and strategic alliances. He has additionally designed innovative mortgage products, trade finance solutions, and secured and unsecured financings. Moghul has represented clients in the energy, healthcare, technology, real estate, transport and logistics, and business services sectors across North America, Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, and East Asia.
He is author of the book, “A Socially Responsible Islamic Finance: Character and the Common Good,” is published in a variety of academic and trade journals, and has spoken at numerous forums.
