Chantelle Tickles joined UConn Law as Assistant Dean of Students in August 2026. Previously, she served as Director of Student Affairs at the University of Georgia School of Law from 2023 to 2026, where she focused on enhancing the law school experience and supporting students’ needs. Tickles has 13 years of experience working with college students across academic support, orientation and transition programs, student activities, residence life, and admissions.

Currently, Tickles supports UConn students through ADA accommodations, addressing individual student concerns and needs, programming for student wellness and success, student conduct matters, and efforts by the Law Student Affairs Office to promote campus and student life initiatives. In essence, Tickles indicates that her role at the law school focuses on fostering a more supportive culture.

Tickles holds a bachelor’s degree from Spelman College and a Master of Education from the University of Louisville. She also earned a post-master’s certificate in transfer leadership and practice from the University of North Georgia. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Student Affairs Leadership at the University of Georgia.
