David Thomas Smith is assistant general counsel at The Hartford, specializing in enterprise transactions, intellectual property, digital commerce and privacy. He is the lead marketing and data attorney for The Hartford, supporting the chief data officer, chief marketing officer, and their teams. Smith worked as chief corporate counsel for EPS, an energy intelligence start-up in Orange County, California and as a senior global contracts specialist at CSC. He sits on the Board of Directors of Forward Motion Physical Therapy, LLC in Westport, Connecticut, and served as co-chair of Til Duty is Done, a 501c3 dedicated to helping veterans secure support services and employment.
