Raymond Miller
Senior Trial Counsel in the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Connecticut
Ray Miller is a Senior Trial Counsel in the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Connecticut, and his current focus is on the prosecution of financial crimes. He has successfully tried to verdict cases involving wire fraud, theft of public money, organized crime, counterfeit U.S. currency, bank robbery, passport fraud, crimes against children, money laundering, and narcotics trafficking.
During his 24 years as a federal prosecutor, Ray has served as the Chief of Major Crimes and National Security as well as the Chief of the Organized Crime Strike Force. He has been previously honored on two occasions as Prosecutor of the Year by the International Association of Financial Crimes Investigators.
Prior to joining the United States Attorney’s Office, Ray clerked for United States District Judge Dominic Squatrito and was an intellectual property litigation attorney at Day, Berry and Howard.
Ray received his J.D. with honors from the University of Connecticut School of Law, where he was a member of the Connecticut Law Review. Prior to attending law school, he received his Ph.D. in synthetic organic chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a B.S. in chemistry with distinction from The Pennsylvania State University, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
