This field placement provides training and practical experience in the legislative process. Each student is assigned either to a legislative committee (e.g., Judiciary Committee), an attorney working in the House or Senate Democratic or Republican caucus, a non-partisan office (e.g., Legislative Commissioner's Office), an executive office (e.g., Office of the Governor's Legal Counsel), or an individual legislator in the Connecticut General Assembly, in accordance with the student's interest or preference.
