Jason Buchsbaum ’05 Sworn in as CT State Representative
Jason Buchsbaum ’05 was sworn in as a State Representative at Connecticut’s General Assembly in Hartford on January 8th, 2025. Buchsbaum will serve his first term as a Republican State Representative for the 69th House District. He is currently a Principal at Cohen and Wolf in Connecticut.
Laurane Fumex ’24 Appointed as ADA to Queens DA’s Office
Laurane Fumex ’24 was sworn in as an Assistant District Attorney to the Queens District Attorney’s Office. Fumex will begin a six-week training program to get acquainted with her new role.
Francesco Mioli ’17 Joins Polsinelli PC
Francesco Mioli ’17 has joined Polsinelli PC as an associate in the firm’s Real Estate Finance group. Mioli will work out of the firm’s New York, NY office, and is licensed to practice in both Connecticut and New York.

Christine Jean-Louis ’08 Receives Award
The Honorable Christine Jean-Louis ’08 will be honored as the 2025 Thurgood Marshall Award Recipient by Quinnipiac Law’s Black Law Students Association on April 2, 2025. Judge Jean-Louis has served on the Connecticut Superior Court since 2024.
