Four UConn Law Alumni Named to 40 Under 40 List
The Hartford Business Journal has named four UConn Law alumni to its 2024 40 Under 40 list. They are Allison P. Dearington ’12, a principal at Jackson Lewis P.C.; Jonathan E. Harding ’11, corporation counsel for the City of Hartford; Erick Russell ’12, treasurer for the State of Connecticut; and Taylor Shea ’10, a partner at Robinson & Cole LLP.
Lincoln Almond ’88 Retires from Federal Bench
The Federal District Court of Rhode Island announced that Magistrate Judge Lincoln D. Almond ’88 will retire after more than 20 years of service to the Court. Judge Arnold will leave the bench in May 2025.
Brian Murphy ’04 Joins Stradley Ronon
Brian Murphy ’04 has joined Stradley Ronon as a partner in the firm’s investment management practice. Murphy will help the firm with their exchange-traded fund (ETF) capabilities, and will practice out of their Philadelphia office.
DeVaughn Ward ’11 Appointed to Correction Post
Connecticut Gov. Ned Lamont announced the appointment of DeVaughn Ward ’11 as the state’s interim correction ombudsman. The position is newly created under a law that Lamont recently signed. Ward will begin serving in the position on September 23, 2024.
