Tuition and Financial Aid
A legal education represents a significant investment, and UConn School of Law offers an exceptional value. The average student debt is among the lowest in the nation. The Student Finance Office collaborates with the Office of Admissions and external organizations on scholarship administration. The goal is to make UConn Law more affordable, especially to those who would not otherwise have the financial means necessary to attend our school.
In addition, as a public institution, UConn Law offers a substantial tuition reduction for Connecticut residents and a discount for students in the New England Compact states of Rhode Island and Vermont. State residency laws allow students from another state to petition after one full year of living in Connecticut to be reclassified as Connecticut residents, making them eligible for the in-state tuition rate.
Find the latest information about costs on the Tuition, Fees and Cost of Attendance page.
Billing and Payment
The UConn School of Law bursar’s office implements all billing and payment policies. Recognizing the different needs of students, the office provides a variety of payment options and payment plans. More information about billing and payment policies, including a link to the refund policy, is available in the Student Portal.
