Braun, a member of the firm’s School Law Practice Group, focuses on public finance and municipal law. Lewis practices in the areas of corporate and commercial finance. Both work in the firm’s Hartford office.

Kevin M. Ahern ’05 Named Legal Director
Kevin M. Ahern ’05 has been appointed legal director of the Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services. Ahern previously spent nearly 15 years with the Connecticut State Elections Enforcement Commission.
Jason Weida ’05 Appointed to Florida Board
Gov. Ron DeSantis has appointed Jason C. Weida ‘05 to the Board of Directors of the Florida Healthy Kids Corporation. Weida is the assistant deputy secretary for Medicaid policy and quality at the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration. He lives in Tallahassee, Florida, with his wife, Kyley, and their four children.
Rachel Gonzalez ’05 Receives Award
Rachel A. Gonzalez ’05, a partner in the Employment and Labor practice group at Day Pitney LLP, was honored on May 4, 2022 by the Executive Women of New Jersey with the Salute to the Policy Makers Award. She was honored for her achievements and efforts in advancing women’s leadership inside the firm and in the community.
Jason C. Weida ’05 Appointed Assistant Deputy Secretary
Jason C. Weida ’05 has been appointed assistant deputy secretary for Medicaid policy and quality at the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration. He previously served as an assistant U.S. attorney at the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Boston, Massachusetts.
Ndidi Moses ’05 Nominated to Connecticut Superior Court
Ndidi Moses ’05 has been nominated to the Connecticut Superior Court bench. She s currently an assistant United States attorney for the District of Connecticut, where she has worked since 2008. In 2010, she became the office’s civil rights coordinator. Prior to joining that office, she worked as an associate at Robinson & Cole, LLP, and served as a law clerk in the Connecticut Appellate Court for Judge Thomas A. Bishop. Moses also previously served as president of the Connecticut Bar Association and the George W. Crawford Black Bar Association.
