Laura Ann Froning ’15 has been promoted to Partner at Wiggin and Dana. Froning is a member of the firm’s Litigation Department, and practices in their New Haven office.

Joseph Szerejko ’15 has been elevated to Counsel at Harris Beach Murtha. Szerejko is a litigator who represents municipalities, government officials, corporations and individuals in real estate, land use, zoning and property tax matters.

Sarah Gleason ’15 has been elevated to Counsel at Shipman & Goodwin LLP. Gleason is a member of the firm’s School Law Practice Group and operates out of their Stamford office. 

Joanna Targonski ’15 has been promoted to Partner at Day Pitney LLP. Targonski focuses her practice on trusts and estates law, and operates out of the firm’s West Hartford office.

Jaime Welsh ’15 has been promoted to Partner at Shipman & Goodwin. Welsh is a member of the firm’s Business Litigation Practice Group, and practices in their Hartford office. 

Mike Scott ’15 has joined Lesser, Lesser, Landy & Smith, PLLC as an attorney in their personal injury practice area. Scott will operate out of the firm’s Stuart and West Palm Beach offices.

Four UConn Law Alumni were recognized at the 2024 New England Legal Awards. David Ephraim ’87 was awarded for both Banking and Finance Attorney of the Year and In-House Impact. Rebecca Clegg ’15, Blake Driscolli ’15, and Matthias Sportini ’17 were all recognized as New Leaders in the Law. 

Katherine “Kacie” Cotter Gent ’15 has been promoted to principal at Cummings & Lockwood. She is based in the firm’s Greenwich office, where her practice involves estate planning and estate and trust administration.

Scott Garosshen ’15 and Dan Brody ’15 have been elevated to counsel at Robinson & Cole LLP effective Jan. 1, 2024. Brody is a member of the firm’s Litigation Section, including the Business Litigation Group and the Government Enforcement and White-Collar Defense, and Internal Investigations and Corporate Compliance Teams. Garosshen is a member of the firm’s Business Litigation Group and Appellate Practice Group. Both work in the firm’s Hartford Office.
