Kara A. Zarchin '18 received a Volunteer of the Year Award from the Young Lawyers Section of the Connecticut Bar Association, recognizing her pro bono work, at the association's annual leadership retreat in August. Zarchin is an associate with Day Pitney LLP in the firm's Hartford office. She is a member of the Executive Committee and co-chair of the Women in the Law Committee for the Young Lawyers Section for the Connecticut Bar Association.

Gideon Asemnor ’18 has joined Carmody Torrance Sandak & Hennessey LLP as an associate in their litigation group. In this role, Asemnor will represent clients in business disputes involving breach of contract, business torts, and unfair trade practice actions in state and federal court. He is licensed to practice law in Connecticut.
Michael DiTommaso ’18 Joins Fox Rothschild
The national firm Fox Rothschild, LLP. announced the hiring of Michael DiTommaso ’18 as an associate in the firm’s real estate practice group. DiTommaso, who will join the firm’s Greenville, South Carolina office, was previously a clerk for the Honoral Alfred V. Covello of the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut.

Amanda Buckingham ’18 and Matthias Sporting ’17, associates at Halloran Sage join the Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice area, based out of the firm’s Hartford and Westport offices, respectively. Buckingham handles tort claims and matters ranging from motor vehicle and uninsured/underinsured motorist to professional and products liability. Je’Quana Orr ’18 will co-present the Connecticut Bar Association’s webinar, “Women and the Legal Profession over the Decades”, during the Connecticut Legal Conference. The event will be held on September 16, 2020 and will discuss how the legal profession has changed as it relates to women, what still needs to be done for women in the profession, and how to further gear the legal profession toward inclusivity and diversity.
