Dimitrios P. Tournas ’11 has been named a partner in the Real Estate, Construction and Facilities Department of Wiggin and Dana LLP, working in the firm’s Stamford office. He rejoined the firm from Withers Bergman.
Jonathan Harris ’98 Moves to Wiggin and Dana
Jonathan Harris ’98 has been hired as a partner in the Corporate and Litigation Departments and a member of the Life Sciences Practice Group at Wiggin and Dana LLP. An expert in intellectual property, he was previously a partner in a boutique intellectual property firm. He works in Wiggin and Dana’s Hartford office.
Daniel Goren ’11 Named Partner
Daniel E. Goren ’11 has been made a partner at Wiggin and Dana LLP, where he works in the New Haven office. Goren is a member of the firm’s International Trade Compliance Group and has taught International Trade Compliance as an adjunct professor at the UConn School of Law.
Cynthia Thornton ’86 Promoted to Colonel
Cynthia Thornton ’86 was promoted on Sept. 11, 2021, from lieutenant colonel to colonel in the Delaware Air National Guard, which she serves as a reserve judge advocate attorney. She is the first female JAG officer and the first minority woman to reach the rank of colonel in the history of the Delaware Air National Guard. In civilian life, her law practice specializes in domestic and immigration law.

UConn Law Alumni Named in Managing IP’s IP Stars for 2021
Managing IP has named its IP Stars for 2021, which aims to highlight firms and individuals for contentious and non-contentious IP advice. Michael Cantor ’83 and Leah Reimer ’95 of Cantor Colburn LLP were amongst the lawyers recognized this year. Cantor is highly specialized in patent law, and oversees hundreds of lawyers who help companies across the world with their IP assets. Reimer helps lead the firm’s Chemical, Material, and Life Sciences Department, with a focus on legal and technical issues.
