Louanne Cooley ’20 will speak on December 6, 2022, at a virtual roundtable discussion entitled The Climate Change Crisis in CT: The Impact on Low-Income Communities and What Can Be Done, sponsored by the Connecticut Bar Foundation. Cooley, a legal policy fellow for the Connecticut Institute for Resilience and Climate Adaptation, is pursuing an LLM in Energy and Environmental Law at the UConn School of Law.

Cheryl Chase ’78 accepted the Nancy Carrington Philanthropy Award from Connecticut Foodshare at a ceremony on Oct. 12, 2022. Chase and the Chase Family Foundation are longtime supporters of Connecticut Foodshare, which distributes food through a network of more than 700 relief programs.

Shriti Shah ’22 has joined Bulkley Richardson and Gelinas LLP as an associate working on business matters, including mergers and acquisitions. The firm has offices in Hadley and Springfield, Massachusetts.

Skyward Specialty Insurance Group has named Sara Logue ’17 LLM senior vice president and head of healthcare professional liability. She previously served as assistant vice president of miscellaneous medical at ProAssurance.

J. Andrew “Drew” Schaffer ’11 has joined the Employment and Complex Litigation and Dispute Resolution practices of Goodwin Procter LLP in Los Angeles. He specializes in employment law, including litigation and arbitration, counseling, and employment-related transactional support.

Kimberly Wilson ’21 graduated on Aug. 13, 2022, from Officer Candidate School in Quantico, Virginia, and was sworn in as a judge advocate and second lieutenant in the U.S. Marine Corp. She was one of four women sworn in together, a historic milestone for the Marines.

Three UConn Law alumni have been named to the Hartford Business Journal’s 2022 40 Under 40 list. They are Will Herchel ’12, co-founder of Verogy; Dana M. Hrelic ’08, counsel at Pullman & Comley LLC; and Latonia Williams ’09, a partner at Shipman & Goodwin LLP.
