Three graduates of the UConn School of Law have been elected partners at Robinson & Cole LLP. Andrew DePeau ’14 practices in the firm’s Business Litigation and Bankruptcy and Reorganizations groups. Sandra Marin ’14 practices in the Business Litigation Group, including pre-litigation counseling and dispute resolution. Evan Seeman ’09 practices in the firm’s Real Estate and Development Group.

Silvia Schaffer ’12 has been was elected a partner at Everett Dorey LLP, where her practice focuses on complex catastrophic injury, product liability, transportation, medical malpractice cases, habitability and mold, and labor and employment. The firm has four offices in California.

Karen DeMeola ’96, assistant dean for diversity, belonging and community engagement at the UConn School of Law, conducted a training on the topic “Slowing Down to Advance Diversity, Equity and Inclusion” on November 30, 2022, at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute on the UConn Waterbury campus.

Keisha Palmer ’09, a partner at Robinson & Cole LLP, received a 2022 Freda Johnson Trailblazer Award from Northeast Women in Public Finance at a gala on December 6. Palmer is a member of the Business Transactions Group in the firm’s Hartford office.

Jeffrey Wisner ’14 has been named a partner at Koskoff Koskoff & Bieder. Wisner, who earned an MD from the UConn School of Medicine as well as a JD from the UConn School of Law, leads Koskoff’s medical malpractice investigation team. Koskoff, Koskoff & Bieder has offices in Bridgeport and New Haven, Connecticut.

Carolyn J. Cavolo ’99 has joined the Real Estate & Land Use team at Carmody Torrance Sandak & Hennessey LLP as a partner in the firm’s Stamford, Connecticut, office. Cavolo advises owners, investors, developers, financial institutions and planned community clients on sophisticated commercial real estate transactions.
