Nancy Kennedy ’05 has joined Stites & Harbison, PLLC as a Member of their Intellectual Property & Technology Service Group. Kennedy was previously a Visiting Professor From Practice at the University of Connecticut School of Law. 

Sarah Saadian ’09 has joined the National Council Of Nonprofits as their new senior vice president for public policy and campaigns. Saadian has more than 15 years of experience with national campaigns. 

Suzette Meléndez ’89 has received a Law Honors award from the Syracuse University College of Law Alumni Association. Meléndez is a professor at Syracuse Law, and was recognized for her contributions to the legal field. 

Ruth Fortune ’18 will receive the Hartford County Bar Association’s Judge Maxwell Heiman Memorial Award on May 14, 2025. Fortune is currently an Associate at Wiggin and Dana LLP. 

Dom Spinelli ’11 has joined Willis as their Head of Transactional Insurance Claims for North America. Spinelli has 15 years of previous experience in insurance and litigation. 

Lila McKinley ’08 has been promoted to the Director of Cannabis at Connecticut’s Department of Consumer Protection (DCP). McKinley has been at the agency for 10 years and will head the newly formed cannabis division.

Jacqueline Pennino Scheib ’96 has accepted an invitation to serve on the American Red Cross’ National Philanthropic Board. Scheib will serve as a representative for the Northeast Division. She is currently a Partner at Robinson+Cole in Hartford.
