Eight Alumni Nominated to Superior Court Bench

Connecticut Gov. Ned Lamont has nominated eight UConn Law alumni to serve as judges of the Superior Court. They are Nicole Anker ’98, the legal director for the Connecticut Department of Correction; Kristin A. Connors ’92, a named partner at Stockman O’Connor Connors PLLC; Cody N. Guarnieri ’12, a senior partner and trial attorney at the law firm of Brown, Paindiris and Scott, LLP; Christine Jean-Louis ’08, the general counsel for the Office of Lieutenant Governor Susan Bysiewicz; Sara Nadim ’10, an assistant attorney general in the Connecticut Attorney General’s Office; Pedro E. Segarra ’85, an administrative law judge at the Connecticut Workers’ Compensation Commission; Nicole J. Tung ’94, a partner at Halloran Sage; and Matthew T. Wax-Krell ’05, a partner at Rogin Nassau LLC. 

Richard Stamm ’92 Appointed Vice President, General Counsel at Activ Surgical

Richard Stamm ’92 was appointed as Vice President, general counsel at Activ Surgical, Inc., a digital surgery pioneer. Stamm brings thirty years of corporate and securities law to his new role. Most recently, he maintained his own legal and consulting firm, leveraging his practical business law and corporate governance expertise to advise to variety of businesses and their leaders.

UConn Alumni at Willinger, Willinger, & Bucci celebrate firm expansion

The Bridgeport-based law firm of Willinger, Willinger & Bucci, have expanded its presence in the state with a new office in Shelton and will be celebrating its growth with a grand opening this month. The firm employs several UConn alumni, including James A. Lenes ’91, Heidi C. McGee ’92, Toni M. Gelineau ’80, and Christopher M. Cerami ’13.
