John F. Stafstrom Jr. ’81 was honored by Lamdba Legal in recognition of his decades of work to advance LGBTQ+ equality in Connecticut and his years of service on the organization’s National Board of Directors. He was recognized at the annual Connecticut Cares event on October 2, 2022. Stafstrom is an attorney at the Bridgeport Office of Pullman & Comley LLC and recently finished a two-year term as chair of the national board of directors of Lambda Legal.

Cheryl Chase ’78 accepted the Nancy Carrington Philanthropy Award from Connecticut Foodshare at a ceremony on Oct. 12, 2022. Chase and the Chase Family Foundation are longtime supporters of Connecticut Foodshare, which distributes food through a network of more than 700 relief programs.

Two UConn Law graduates have joined Gfeller Laurie LLC as associates. Kendra K. McGuire and Kaylee Navarra, both members of the Class of 2022, will work out of the firm’s West Hartford office.

Gwaina D. Wauldon ’10 has joined Pullman & Comley LLC as an associate. She will work in the firm’s education law and labor employment practices, out of the Hartford office.

Daniel R. Barrack ’22 has joined Pullman & Comley LLC as an associate. He works out of the Hartford office.

Retired Connecticut Supreme Court Justice Lubbie Harper Jr. ’75 will moderate an event as part of the Constance Baker Motley Series on Racial Inequality, presented by the Connecticut Bar Association. The discussion, titled Disparate Outcomes in Criminal Court: The Role of Prosecutorial Discretion, will be held virtually September 28.
