Aigné Goldsby ’16 Joins UConn Law Staff

Aigné Goldsby ’16 will return to the UConn School of Law as a career counselor after working for several years working at several litigation firms and insurance companies. She will help advise LLM, exchange and international JD students. Goldsby is active in the Connecticut Bar Association and runs a business that is focused on increasing diversity in the legal profession.

Heather J. Rhoades ’99 to Chair Cummings & Lockwood’s Private Clients Group

Cummings & Lockwood LLC has announced the appointment of Heather J. Rhoades ’99 as the new chair of their Private Clients group, effective on January 1, 2022. Rhoades joined the firm in 1999, and has practiced in various areas, such as estate planning, estate settlement, trust administration and charitable planning. She is licensed to practice law in Connecticut. 

Drew Hillier ’15 Joins Morrison & Foerster LLP

Drew Hillier ’15 has joined Morrison & Foerster LLP in San Diego where his intellectual property practice focuses on patent litigation. Hillier previously clerked for the Hon. Michael P. Shea in the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut and practiced at Axinn, Veltrop, & Harkrider LLP in Hartford.  He is licensed to practice law in California and Connecticut. 

Doug Dalena ’12 Appointed as Stamford Director of Legal Affairs

Mayor Caroline Simmons announced that she will appoint Doug Dalena ’12 to serve as Director of Legal Affairs for the City of Stamford. Currently, Dalena serves as Gov. Ned Lamont’s Deputy General Counsel where he has helped create and coordinate the legal framework for the state’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic well as advising state agencies on legal solutions to various policy issues.
